Town Hall 7 Farming Bases

These are some of the better layouts that I've come across for Town Hall 7. I will split them into 3 sections: Farming, Trophy Hunting, and Hybrid. I will also try and point out what changes I would make to them, if any.

Please note that the bases are not listed in any particular order regarding how good they are. They are simply some base designs that I would suggest.

Farming Bases:

Farming Base 1: 

Pros:
  • Wizard Towers defending 2 storages at a time
  • Lots of buffer space before enemy troops can get to the walls
  • Space for both Air Defenses

Cons:
  • Teslas outside of walls
  • 1 Elixir Storage outside of walls



Farming Base 2: 

Pros:
  • Wizard Towers  both defend two storages a piece.
  • Lots of buffer space before enemy troops can get to walls
  • Segmented core
  • Centralized Clan Castle

Cons:
  • Teslas outside of walls
  • One mortar not implemented yet
  • One Air Defense not implemented yet
  • One Archer Tower not implemented yet




Farming Base 3: 

 Pros:
  • Wizard Towers both defend two storages a piece
  • Places for both Teslas behind walls (although I would move them inward)
  • Segmented core
  • Cannons have good coverage of the base
  • Air Defenses have good coverage (although heavy air attacks are unlikely in farming ranges)

Cons:
  • Elixir Storages are exposed 
  • Clan Castle is not centralized



Farming Base 4: 

Pros:
  • Wizard Towers cover two storages a piece
  • Mortars cover base well (I would switch out the top Wizard Tower for the middle Mortar)
  • Teslas are behind walls and cover a good portion of the base in case someone goes for the gold
  •  Very segmented which makes Wallbreakers mostly useless against this

Cons:
  • Clan Castle not centralized
  • Air Defenses cover nothing and are actually exposed (if someone attacks with dragons, they'll get a 3-star)
  • Dark Elixir is exposed
  • One Cannon isn't even being used



Farming Base 5:

Pros:
  • Centralized Clan Castle
  • Equilateral triangle formation of the Mortars (great coverage)
  • Wizard Towers effectively cover two storages a piece
  • Spots for Teslas
  • Air Defense coverage (although not very good coverage - it should prevent most attacks against lower enemies)
  • Well segmented
  • Nice buffer before troops get to the walls

Cons:
  • Bottom Mortars need to be move slightly up so that they can cover parts of the top in case the top one is taken out.
  • Extra Cannon needs to be moved behind walls once it is done upgrading



Farming Base 6:

Pros:
  • Centralized Clan Castle
  • Teslas play a great role in protecting resources
  • Good Air Defense Coverage (although it is exposed)
  • Good distribution of the Archer Towers and Cannons

Cons:
  • Only one Elixir Storage present. (makes this base hard to use if you have 2)
  • Not well segmented against Wallbreakers (2 could break through to the core)
  • Air Defenses are a bit exposed
  • One Wizard Tower only defends one storage (needs to be moved)
  • Mortars don't cover northwest corner of base



Farming Base 7:




Pros:

  • Centralized Clan Castle
  • Wizard Towers cover at least two storages a piece
  • Mortars have good coverage of the base
  • Teslas play a good role in defending the resources
  • Resources are all well segmented (its likely that very few people will take all of them)
  • Air Defense coverage is present (although it is exposed)
  • Good buffer outside of the walls


Cons:

  • The core isn't segmented. If a strong army gets inside, they can wipe out the Mortars, Air Defenses, and Wizard Towers
  • Air Defense is slightly exposed
  • Wizard Towers are slightly exposed





Farming Base 8:

Pros:
  • Centralized Core
  • Equilateral triangle formation of Mortars (great coverage)
  • Air Defense present (not good coverage though and also exposed)
  • Well segmented
  • Teslas are behind the walls (but are exposed)

Cons:
  • Wizard Towers are exposed and don't cover storages well. I would move the bottom one with the cannon and find a new location for the top one.
  • Air defenses are also exposed
  • Teslas are exposed



Farming Base 9:


Pros:
  • Centralized Clan Castle
  • Good use of Teslas 
  • Good Mortar coverage (although it might need a bit more support for the north part of it)
  • Good Air Defense Coverage
  • Wizard Towers are covering two storages a piece (3 in one location)


Cons:
  • 1 storage of each resource is exposed
  • Lab is center core. Move it out and either redo the mortar setup slightly or place barb king in there
  • Requires use of large bombs to be successful. These are expensive and unnecessary when farming
